Spring is in the air .....and so are allergies! Dogs can be allergic to just about anything a human can be and figuring out the cause can be hard. Be sure to book you pets appointment before they start scratching! Our full line of Organic Earth Bath products are wonderful for moisturizing and helping the itchiness go away! Dogs break out from allergies, this can be seen the easiest on the underbelly,armpits, feet, ears and rear end. Help your dog help it's self by NOT allowing excessive licking and scratching as this only leads to hot spots and vet bills!
Also after the wet weather nails have undoubtedly grown out. Come in and have your pets nails ground down and "drawn back" soon to avoid any health problems! Perfect Paws reacently had an incident with a new customer who went agents our advice and allowed hard surface play after "draw back" grinding. We would like to take a moment to remind everyone the "draw back" grinding technique is not just having your dogs nails done it is used to bring the quick back to it's natural placement after being allowed to get excessively over grown and get the dogs nails off the ground. After this is done Perfect paws does not recomend any hard surface such as cement or concreate play or walks for the rest of the day until the protective nail covering has returned! However, if this should occur and bleeding of the quick happens you can easily stop it by using KWICK STOP powder. Also if during business hours you are always more then welcome to come in and have us do it for you.
If this is your pets first grooming since last spring and you haven't kept up on winter grooming we may have to start all over. Making an appointment early one will allow time for the coat to grow back to it's wonderful style! Also with the summer heat on it's way we can style your pet into a cool new doo to help them out!
